Your Contribution Assist with the development and implementation of new products, processes, equipment, and controls.Prepare and executes design sheets for drawing fiber optic material made from various glass components.Operate various complex equipment including drawing, fusing, finishing, polishing, and inspection equipment.Coordinate experiments, compiles data, documents results, and writes technical reports.Prepare process documentation for newly developed products and processes.Participate in manufacturing engineering task force meetings to ensure effective transfer of technology to Manufacturing.May require some travel domestic and international including customer and internal meeting and conferences.

Your Contribution • Performs a variety of assignments and work functions in the LFB operation (which may include some or all of the Major Duties listed) • Under close supervision, sets up and operates various types of draw towers (clamp and belt). • Performs Medical Draw. • Performs Core Draw processes including prepare, draw, and assembly. • Performs up to three (3) of the processes used to manufacture leach fiber bundle. • Completes labor sheets, routers, log sheets, process forms and similar reports and forms. • Performs basic maintenance on production machinery and equipment. • Follows established process specifications and procedures. • Complies with all company policies and procedures. • Maintains housekeeping practices per departmental 5S program. • Meets utilization targets and standard times. • Accurately enters Database/SAP transactions in the computer. • Maintains daily records, including labor sheets and routers. • Responsible for observing and following all Environmental, Health and Safety rules and procedures.

Your Contribution Provide for corrective, preventative, predictive, safety and emergency repairs to electrical machinery and electronic equipment utilized in LNS's manufacturing processes.Ability to troubleshoot facility wiring, electronic controls, including servo/stepper motor controls, process equipment and general mechanical equipment.Completes accurate records via an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)Troubleshoot machine and system failures on a timely basis in a production environment; provide appropriate corrective actions.Use schematics, blueprints & diagrams to find the sequence of operations to aid in effective troubleshooting of electronic hardware, vacuum systems, hydraulic systems, basic mechanical systems, and pneumatic systems.Calibrate electronic controllers and maintain accurate records.Provides project support on internal projects.Assist Engineering personnel in conducting process and project evaluation and problem solving, must work in a team environment.Assist in building and grounds maintenance when needed.Moves, assembles, installs, adjusts, repairs and services all standard production machinery and equipment.Works overtime as required and responds to emergency call-ins.
